Static Contraction Training

This type of weight training is a little different from the conventional methods being taught by most personal trainers in gyms today. Weight training is very stressful to your body and this method of training gives your body a big boost in terms of muscle triggering workouts without exhausting your system and weakening your immune functions.

While it is possible to get an effective SCT (Static Contraction Training) workout in a regular gym, it is probably best to purchase the custom SCT equipment that is designed for this type of exercise in order to maximize both results and safety since you will not have to load extremely heavy loads in a gym.  The basic idea behind SCT is to train only in the strongest range of motion and thus you will be able to lift much more weight usually two to three times as much but for much shorter durations.

This kind of lifting is usually very effective in triggering the anabolic effects in your body which promotes muscle growth. However you must take proper rest between workouts. The heaviest SCT workouts might require up to six weeks to recover so give yourself the time to heal and grow after each workout. It is a misconception that you need to train with weights multiple times a week in order to see great results.

Trigger muscle growth and then recover:

The key is to first trigger muscle growth by pushing your muscles hard. The best way to accomplish this is to lift extremely heavy weights however doing this with regular gym equipment can be impractical and dangerous since it will take a lot of time to load the weights and most people do not have that kind of free time to dedicate to a workout. While the SCT equipment is expensive it can be well worth it for those that can afford it as you can train as little as once every 3 months. Even women can benefit from this kind of training although they should lift lighter weights as you would not want to trigger excessive muscle growth as that can take away from a feminine physique however the time saved by doing SCT training can be significant so it is definitely worth at least trying. The only downside is really the cost of the equipment so hopefully in the future the price will come down and it will be more affordable.
